Not entirely sure why this is such an iconic spot in Ann Arbor. I came here a few times and decided not to wait in the massive line, when I finally did go for food I had a latte, bagel with the works, and apricot rugelach to dine in. The food was good but I was surprised that the $14 bagel came served as a bagel with a separate container with the toppings - I’m not expecting to build my own sandwich especially when I dine in or for that price. Everything came separate with no tray or anything to bring it to my table. Sat upstairs where it was quieter, ambiance is fine but not special.

It also makes the perfect after-meal treat — or if you’re waiting around, you can totally grab a slice of cake or some ice cream to try! 🍰⏳🍦 A sweet little pick-me-up that makes the experience even better ✨😋

Good coffee and ice cream. Enjoyed the ginger scone, too, but it wasn't anything special, I'm afraid. But the whole compound is so much fun and very inviting. Staff was excellent. Disappointed that they're not open earlier in the morning since the bagels look like the real deal but I would absolutely come back again!

Zingerman’s Next Door Café is such a delightful spot—tucked inside a charming single-family house-style building, it’s cozy, quirky, and full of character. They specialize in distinctive and creative takes on chocolate, coffee, hot chocolate, and ice cream. I tried the Mayan Eyes hot chocolate—made with dark chocolate and spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, chipotle, and ancho chiles. It’s got a real kick! Spicy but deliciously warming and complex. I also picked up two chocolate bars: one mango chili and one hot paprika. Super excited to try them—Zingerman’s definitely doesn’t play it safe with flavors, and I love that. It’s a fun and flavorful place for anyone who enjoys bold sweets and thoughtful drinks. Highly recommend stopping by!

Looking for a unique gift for a food lover, or adding to your own enjoyment, this is the location. The deli is a delight , a unique selection of treats. The best part is you are in a historical area of Ann Arbor, established 1982. The staff is the special touch here. Outside eating and inside dine in as well. My tip is eat upstairs they have outside tables. The sunsets are a gift. The food has quality ingredients great balance of flavors. This location is self ordering then you find a seat to relax.
